Principal's Letter
Dear Parents, Students and Friends
I trust that your week is going well. It is hard to believe we are one month into Term 2. There are several areas of interest to highlight this week. Please take the time to read the newsletter each fortnight. We aim is to keep you updated on College events and recognise the many achievements of our students.

Cyber Safety
Carroll College will be hosting an important information session on cyber safety on Monday 24 May 2021. I strongly encourage families to attend. Student safety online is an ongoing concern that must be managed collaboratively between home and school. Inappropriate online activity occurs more often than you may realise, and for the most, this is happening outside of the school context. Parents need to be aware of the dangers, the ‘secret’ accounts some children create, the exploitative nature of online activity, and the consequences that may follow. Youth Liaison Officer, Senior Constable Donna Clarke will lead this discussion for families. This is a ‘parent only’ meeting and should not be missed. This is an opportunity for parents to seek clarification and ask questions about what’s ‘trending’ online for teenagers now. You will find full details on the information flyer that is published in this newsletter. It can also be found on our CCB Facebook page.
Student Amenities Block
As previously communicated, the College is working closely with Architect, Russell McFarland in the development of a new student toilet block. We are really pleased to be improving these facilities for students. It is important that amenities are attractive, functional, and hygienic. I’m sure this project will be appreciated.
These plans will go out to tender in the next month.

‘Tell Them From Me’ School Surveys
Planning is underway for the introduction of 'Tell Them From Me', a new school improvement survey for staff, students and parents. You may be familiar with previous annual satisfaction surveys that have assisted the College to gather community feedback which informs strategic direction and school improvements. More information will follow in the coming weeks. The survey will be distributed to all families later this term. Your input is valued and appreciated.
Musical
Our musical cast are well into rehearsals and preparation for this year’s musical extravaganza Strictly Ballroom. Tickets can be pre-purchased through the office at the College and seating will be allocated for this production. Get in early and secure your tickets for a great night of entertainment!
