This term has seen the end of the Year 7 Technology Mandatory Materials project, the ‘Funds Box’. Every student should be so proud of their efforts and hopefully they enjoyed making the project too! Mothers’ Day gave the student the opportunity to demonstrate their skills via a lovingly crafted gift. Mrs Dalgleish’s Food/Ag students created ‘Brownie in a Box’ while Mrs Mullins’ and Mr Szkwarek’s materials students made ‘Candle holders’ and ‘Succulent Pots’. The excitement was high and the joy in watching the students make these gifts for their Mother’s was heartwarming.

Serving Platters were constructed by Mrs Kerkham’s Year 9-10 timber class, with some very impressive results. The students embellished their boards with a stainless washer, leather strap and laser cut design of their choice.
The wet weather has unfortunately made our Red Gate Farm very wet of late but this has not stopped the Ag students from getting stuck into gardening. They are currently extending the pig yard to give Harley and Rose a fresh area to roam during the day. Planting of carrots, cucamelons, broccoli, dwarf beans, shelling peas and snow peas has been completed with more varieties of vegetables going in soon.
