Assistant Principal Pastoral Care Report
Welcome everyone to 2021. I hope all our families have had a restful break and our students are feeling energised and ready to embrace the opportunities that a fresh year provides.
My name is Mrs Louise Ibbett and I am the Assistant Principal Pastoral at Carroll College. In the short time I have been at the College I have been very impressed with our hardworking staff who dedicate themselves to creating a wonderful environment where teaching and caring for our students can take place. From the first day, it was wonderful to see students entering the College grounds happy to see each other and greeting their teachers. During this first week, I have been impressed with the commitment the students have to ensuring that the College grounds and classrooms are always kept so neat and tidy. I hope that this continues throughout the year.
At this point in the year, it is timely to remind everyone of the importance for students to arrive on time for homeroom. This daily routine allows students to build strong relationships with their peers, Homeroom teachers and Pastoral Coordinator. It is in this time that we all join in daily prayer and familiarise ourselves with important notices. I would also like to remind everyone about the College expectations around the correct wearing of school uniforms, personal grooming and appropriate behaviour. Information about these expectations can be easily accessed on the College Website.
Our senior students are now either interested in learning to drive or already have their licenses. If your son or daughter intends to drive to school or be a passenger in a car driven by another student, then they need to ensure that they have completed the correct documentation which is signed, handed in at the office and approved before this driving begins. To assist parents with teaching a learner driver and road safety please check out the program links below.
Here at Carroll College we value working in partnership with our parents and carers with our students as the focus. If you have any questions or concerns please make sure that you make contact with Reception either by phone or email. From here they will connect you to the right person.
Kind regards
Louise Ibbett
