During the 25th and 26th of November, the 2021 SLT travelled to Narooma with the support of Mr Hodges and Mrs Dell to make our aspirations for Carroll College a reality. We arrived at the Narooma Big4 early Thursday afternoon where we appreciated the beautiful views and stunning accommodation before proceeding to embark on some team building activities. During the activities, we had lots of laughs and learnt a lot about each other and were ready to begin planning for a great year ahead. Discussions began as we covered whiteboard after whiteboard with ideas great and small. After the first session of studious planning and intense discussion, we took a break to cool off at the splash park and pool. Following this, we ventured to Club Narooma for dinner along with Mr Mulally, Mr Mansfield and Mrs Heffernan. When we returned from dinner, we began more careful planning through directly addressing the appreciations and concerns of students as outlined in the student feedback survey. In light of what we discovered, we began working together in brainstorming solutions to frequently raised issues within the survey. Hours of planning, research and discussion followed establishing a plan of events and actions we will take to make our initiatives and ideas happen. Following this planning session, we retired to our cabins to sleep in preparation for the activities of the next day. When we woke up on Friday morning, another spectacular view greeted us which we admired as we ate breakfast and discussed plans for the day. We ended up embarking on a walk along a boardwalk where we reflected on all our discussions during the trip and strengthened our resolve. Some of the ideas in the works include the touch football day next week, Christmas colours day for the Vinnies Christmas appeal, a colour run, fortnightly wellbeing day, Superhero day, pyjama day and much more,  so get excited, 2021 will be an unforgettable year for the college community!
