Installation Mass for Father Joshua Scott

The Sacred Heart Moruya Parish has recently welcomed Father Joshua Scott, who has joined us from his previous parish in Queanbeyan. A formal installation Mass has been set for next Sunday 10 August, at 10.00am. Following Mass, there will be a morning tea to celebrate and connect with one another. We’re also pleased to share that Father Josh will be visiting the College each Tuesday to connect more personally with staff and students, visit Religious Education classrooms, and offer spiritual guidance and support. Welcome Father Josh from all the staff and students at Carroll College!

SHINE Conference : A Powerful Experience for Year 9 and 10 Students
We are excited to offer our Year 9 and 10 students the opportunity to attend the SHINE Conference in Canberra at Merici College, on Friday 12th September; a vibrant celebration of youth ministry, faith and community. Hosted by CSYMI, SHINE is a day packed with music, workshops, guest speakers and the chance to grow in confidence as young leaders of faith. This is an incredible chance for students to deepen their connection with their faith and peers from across the Archdiocese.

If you are a Year 9 or 10 student interested in attending, or if you’d simply like to know more, please come and see Mrs Smart. If we can secure enough numbers, we will be able to provide bus transport at no cost to students.

Support Our Winter Sleepout
A number of brave students and staff will be taking part in the Winter Sleepout later this term to raise funds and awareness for those experiencing homelessness. You can support them by donating via this link: https://shoutforgood.com/fundraisers/CarrollCollegeWinterSleepout
You’re welcome to donate to a specific student or to the cause in general. We also encourage our school community to share the link on their social media pages to help us spread awareness and generate support.

Prayers for our Year 12 Students
As our Year 12 students move into their Trial HSC examination period, we keep them in our thoughts and prayers. We commend them for their commitment and perseverance and pray that they may approach this time with calm, confidence and clarity.

Thank you for your ongoing support of our students and our community.
