Leading With Heart: Welcoming our New SRC and Celebrating House Spirit
This week, our school gathered for a very special occasion — the SRC Commissioning Assembly — a moment that marks both tradition and fresh beginnings. With pride and anticipation, we officially welcomed our new Student Representative Council, a team of 24 passionate
young leaders ready to serve, represent, and inspire our community.
The commissioning was not just a formal occasion, but a celebration of leadership in all its forms — the quiet listeners, the bold speakers, the planners, and the encouragers. Each member brings something unique to the table, and we look forward to the energy and ideas they’ll bring as they help shape the school’s direction in the year ahead, into Term 1 of 2026.
On the topic of energy — no one has more of it this week than our House Captains, who have been buzzing with excitement ahead of the upcoming Athletics Carnival. Their enthusiasm has been infectious, with colourful posters, chants, and creative dress-up ideas filling our college - we had Thing 1 and Thing 2, Minions and Armies and Aliens from Toy Story. A huge well done to them for driving House Spirit and rallying our teams.
Amid all this activity, it’s also been a time to pause and reflect on what it means to look after our wellbeing — and each other. Through the Carroll Kudos initiative, we’ve seen powerful examples of students recognising the kindness, courage, and support shown by their peers. In a world that moves quickly, these moments of encouragement remind us that leadership also means lifting others up. Congratulations to all of our Carroll Kudos recipients so far — your contribution to the college doesn’t go unnoticed.
Congratulations to this weeks Carroll Kudos recipients:
Xavier: Jamian Glen
MacKillop: Liam Fisher
Chisholm: Jessica Elekessy
Staff: Greg McAteer
As we move through the term, may we continue to support one another, celebrate each other’s wins, and live out our school values in every interaction. Here's to a term led by compassion, collaboration, and a touch of healthy competition!
