HSIE News
It has been a busy start to Term 4, with our Year 11 students preparing to begin the HSC courses.
Our Year 10 History students have started their Depth Study of the Holocaust and will be completing a source analysis of information that focuses on the persecution of Jewish Citizens in the lead up to and during the Holocaust.
Year 9 Geography students will be completing an assessment task during Week 4 with the focus on their current topic Changing Places.
Year 8 Geography students are currently studying Interconnections and will submit their assessment this week.
Year 9 and 10 Elective History students have begun their Depth Study with a focus on Terrorism. The students will examine sources and evidence from a variety of periods and different groups to examine the aims, purpose and whether or not these groups would be considered 'Terrorist's' in the modern context. This week students will be studying the Suffragettes and exploring the issues surrounding Women's emancipation.
Year 9 and 10 Commerce students are currently studying factors surrounding Consumers and how to be a wise consumer.
I would like to thank all of our staff and students for such a positive start to the term.
