The following students placed in the top 6 runners for their respective age groups and will now represent Canberra Goulburn at the NSWCCC Championships at Sydney Equestrian Centre on 5 June.
We wish them all the best!
AFL
The College's Senior Boys AFL team played at Hanging Rock against Narooma High School in the Eurobodalla Secondary Schools' Cup on Tuesday 21 May. It was a tightly contested game with both sides having momentum at different stages.
Our boys battled hard to come away with a solid 4 goal win. The final score was Carroll College 8.9.57 to Narooma High School 4.10.34.
The boys are to be commended on their effort and sportsmanship displayed on the day. They will now travel to Ulladulla on Tuesday 28 May to compete in the South Coast final.
Girls Bill Turner Cup
On Wednesday, the girls' soccer team played in Round 3 of the Bill Turner Trophy competition. Despite the girls putting up a great fight they went down to Trinity Catholic College, Goulburn 5-2.
The Carroll College girls displayed great sportsmanship and support to each other.
Congratulations to all the girls and their coach, Mrs Rudol.
Boys Bill Turner Soccer Cup
Yesterday, our Boys Bill Turner team travelled down the coast to Eden to compete in Round 3 of the Bill Turner Cup competition. Unfortunately, due to a BYE and forfeit in rounds one and two this was the first chance the team has had to play a game this year. Despite the team playing some great soccer they were defeated 2 -nil by Eden Marine High School. Well done to the boys and coach Mr Kenneally!
