CCB Surfing Championships
The 2024 annual CCB School Surfing Championships were held on 10 April at the Moruya Breakwall.

We were greeted with some great waves on the day in the head high range, with offshore conditions all day. Some outstanding surfing went down on the day from both the males and females.

In the girls division Evie Thedore, Ruby Davis and Lizzy Barrington traded off some clean, well surfed waves throughout their heats. The final results were Evie Theodore in 3rd, Ruby Davis in 2nd and Lizzy Barrington in first place. Results were extremely close and all the girls are to be congratulated on their efforts.

In the boys division there was a hotly contested final of 6 surfers who had proved themselves with strong surfing throughout the day. The final results were - Finn Love 6th, Miller Whiteman in 5th, Will Sullivan in 4th, Will Tiffen in 3rd, Hugh Wignell in 2nd and Harry Barrington came in 1st. Congratulations Harry!

Harry surfed amazing all day, blasting off some huge turns out the back and continuing down the line with some smooth on rail surfing.

Special mention to Will Tiffen and Hugh Wignell who also stood out with some critical backhand surfing throughout the day.
