Did you know that 3.14% of sailors are actually Pi-rates?
On 14 March, Year 7 Maths classes enjoyed the annual Pi day activities. In class, they measured diameters and circumferences to ‘discover’ the relationship Pi has to circle calculations.
Students recited as many digits of Pi as they could. The overall winner this year was Parker Whiteman with 53 correct digits. Runners-up were Lucy Jeffress, Darcy Fitzpatrick and Ella Scales. Students also enjoyed a pie snack.
