Snow Trip
Six staff and thirty senior students made their way to Jindabyne late on 19 August ready for our first senior snow trip since 2019. We were blessed with a big snow dump Friday night which meant Saturday presented nice soft snow for all ability levels. The students even got the chance to experience snow showers while we were there, which for those who were experiencing the mountain for the first time was very exciting. The students went off to their morning lessons apprehensive but came back excited. The rest of the day included another lesson and some on snow time with friends. We got back on the bus at the end of the day full of stories and smiles. The night time entertainment as always was hilarious and the kids took part in the spirit we intended. Sunday presented us with a perfect blue bird day! Sunshine and low winds made for excellent conditions for all. While there were some tired bodies and a couple of bumps and bruises, by the end of the day it was obvious how much fun everyone had had. It was back onto the bus to return our equipment and start the long drive back home.
I would like to thank Mr Hodges, Mr Fogarty, Miss Large, Ms Hopkins and Mr Coates for offering their time and expertise to assist with the running of the weekend. Also a big thank you to all the students who attended as they were exceptionally behaved and made it such an enjoyable weekend. We look forward to the senior snow trip in 2023!
