On Wednesday, our boys rugby union teams participated in the Brumbies High School 7s Gala Day at Captain Oldrey Park Broulee.
The conditions were terrific, and the quality of the rugby union on show was outstanding. We had four teams competing.
Our 7/8 Boys B Team had two wins and three losses and were fourth overall.
Our 7/8 Boys A Team was undefeated in the pool rounds and won the grand final convincingly to be tournament champions.
Our 9/10 Boys Team had two wins and two losses and were third overall.
Our Open Boys were undefeated in the pools and were also tournament champions after a dominant display in the final.
Well done to all teams.
On Wednesday, it was the girls’ turn to show off their rugby union skills at Captain Oldrey Park.
Once again Carroll College entered teams in every division and we were treated to some scintillating games of 7 a side rugby.
Our Yr 11/12 Girls were undefeated in their four games and were awarded tournament champions.
Our Yr 9/10 Girls won two out of four games in a strong division and were third place overall.
We had two Yr 7/8 Girls teams. Both won multiple games with our A team placing second overall and our B team third overall.
This means Carroll College has four teams that have qualified for the regional finals in Canberra next term.
August 3rd: 7/8 and 11/12 Boys
August 10th: 7/8 and 11/12 Girls
