Soccer - Bill Turner Cup

On Tuesday, Carroll College was the home team in Round 2 of the Bill Turner Cup against Monaro High School (Cooma), played at Captain Oldrey Park Broulee.

In unusually hot conditions, the Carroll team took the lead from early in the first half and found themselves in front at halftime with a score of 7-nil.

The whole team showed great skills and sportsmanship throughout the game and pushed through with no subs for a 10 nil victory over their opponents.

They now progress to Round 3 against Moruya High school, which will take place after NAPLAN.

CARROLL COLLEGE lead goal scorers, Tyler Cooper – 6, Hugh Wignell – 1, Max Colbourne – 2, Jake Sullivan – 1.

A big thank you to Eurobodalla Referee Gary Megay and Broulee Football Club’s Andy and Kim Samsa for field set up! Thank you also to Monaro High school for making the trip.

Junior AFL

A fabulous day in Canberra for the Junior AFL. Sunshine and plenty of energy!
The girls played hard and scored quickly in the first game. Not a win, however many had never played before and had an awesome time. Lost the second game and all still smiling.
The boy's team went out hard and lost the first, won the second, and made it to the finals. The boy played the same team that thrashed them in the first game, but in the thrilling final they only went down by 5 points.
Thanks to Mel and Paul and the Sport Coaching students who really excelled in their roles.
I was really honoured to take this group of students to the Canberra games.
All were supportive and enthusiastic and did Carroll College proud!
Ms Richards
